Portfolios - Student Led Conferences
Dear Parents,
We would like to invite to you the first ever Emirates National Schools, Abu Dhabi City campus Student-Led Portfolio Conference. During this session your child will have the opportunity to share with you the journey of learning that has been the school year 2012-2013, and reflect on both achievement, and areas that are in need of growth. Please note that this conference will be led by the students, and that teachers will only be present as facilitators. At the end of the session we ask that you complete the reflection/comments/letter to child form at the back of the portfolio, so as to provide feedback on the growth that your child has achieved throughout the year.
The Student-led Portfolio Conference will be held this Tuesday (June 4) from 11:30-12:15, and each session may last between 10-20 minutes.
Kind regards,
Grade 4 Team
Language and Assessment policies
Dear Parents,
In preparation for our Authorization visit (May 21-22), teachers and administrators at Abu Dhabi City campus have been working very hard to revise our Language and Assessment policies. These policies outline our philosophy and beliefs, and also contain guidelines by which teachers at the school approach the teaching of language, and the types and delivery of the various assessments used within the program. The documents have been developed collaboratively, and are now ready to share with the wider school community. Please note while these policy documents are currently only in English, we are working on Arabic translations that will be communicated to you once they are done.
The 2012-2013 school year has been one of tremendous growth at Abu Dhabi City campus, and as we edge closer to becoming (officially) an IB World School, we’d like to thank you for your continued support and shared responsibility in your child’s education.
